Security at Finerd

Your financial data stays yours. Our job is to keep it safe.

Finerd connects to your accounts using trusted partners like Plaid and Salt Edge, or through direct bank integrations. You enter your credentials on their secure screens — not ours. We only get a read-only access token. No usernames. No passwords. Nothing stored.
Finerd can see your balances and transactions. That’s it. We can’t move money, make payments, or change anything in your accounts. No write access, no surprises.

Everything you share with Finerd is protected with strong encryption.

  • In transit: Data sent between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.
  • At rest: All stored data is encrypted using Microsoft Azure’s built-in security.

Without the encryption keys, it’s just scrambled nonsense.

End-to-end encryption would block key features like automatic syncing, background updates, and insights. We chose strong encryption at rest and in transit, paired with zero credential storage — so we stay secure and useful.

Our infrastructure is designed to keep bad actors out and data safe.

  • 100% hosted on Microsoft Azure with isolated environments
  • All stored data is encrypted
  • Access requires multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • We follow least-privilege access — employees only see what they absolutely need
  • Admin-level access is gated through just-in-time approvals using Azure PIM

We don’t store your bank logins, so even in a breach, your credentials aren’t exposed.

Only if absolutely necessary — and only with approval. Access is controlled through our Privileged Identity Management system, and all actions are logged and monitored.
Finerd is built for financial tracking, not for storing sensitive credentials. Please don’t save passwords, private keys, or seed phrases here. Use a dedicated password manager for that.
We’re working on 2FA support. Once it’s ready, we’ll let users know right away.
Our business runs on subscriptions — not ads, not selling data. We use product analytics to improve the app. Any third parties we work with are under strict contracts and can’t sell or misuse your information.

To delete your account, remove all your spaces from the app:

  1. Open the app and go to your Space
  2. Tap Edit Space → Delete Space Data
  3. Repeat for each space you have

Once the last space is deleted, your account is automatically removed from our systems. Need help? [email protected]

When you request deletion through the app, your data is removed from our live systems. Backups follow a retention policy (up to 3 years) and are automatically purged after that.

We run 100% on Microsoft Azure — a platform with world-class security and compliance, including:

SOC 1/2/3, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27018, GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, FedRAMP. On top of that, Finerd has completed CASA (Cloud Application Security Assessment) for Gmail API access.
